Chocolatier Block of the Month Club #3 (Louisiana and Framed Plus Quilt Blocks)

IMG_0109

Hello hello.  It's March - and although March typically has us thinking green, I'm here with some Orange Pop for ya!  Thirsty?  I say pop.  I grew up in Cleveland.  Although my dad (from PA) was a big "soda" advocate, the local high school culture eventually converted me.) Month 3 of the Chocolatier Block of the Month Club is here and ready for the making.

Today, the Month #3 Block Pattern for Chocolatier is now available.  Check your emails and mailboxes!

2 blocks again this month.  We have the Louisiana block and the Framed Plus this month.  Loving the way those oranges pop.  Seriously, I can't get away from that word today.  I really think orange is an underrated color.  It has SO much potential.  That shade of Cotton Supreme Solid called #209 Cantaloupe has me scoping my freezer for orange sherbet.

Block #2 Framed Plus.  I ran into a little problem when I realized my rough sketch for this block included 3 shades of orange - and my fabric stack only included 2 plus the white accent.  I decided to improvise and dig into my scrap bin to find a low key print (L's Modern from Lecien) that would jive with the solids.  {heart}!  omg, I'm so in love with how this came out.  This was spontaneous - and now I'm not sure if I'm going to add a few other scrappy prints to the mix in my next blocks.
