Snowflake Quilt: Brrr! Baby It's Cold Outside

Back from the LAQ just in time for the snowflakes falling....  Brrr!  A vivid and perfectly January quilt to hang in my great room.  This is a great quilt to take away those winter blahs we all feel after Christmas.  Take down the tree, and all the decorations.  You are left with an empty house.  This quilt turns blah into Ahh!

I started out unhappy with my piecing, wishing I had placed all dark and medium fabrics in the center with the snowflake.  But I do have to admit, it has really grown on me!  I love that the end finishes in white too, it's just like snow on the edge of the quilt.

Here's the adorable quilting detail - swirling snowflakes.  Wish I could say I did it!
